Encouraging saints around the world for 15 years !! (1991-2006)

Of old the Prophets have foretold
(to the tune of "It Came Upon The Midnight Clear" - CAROL)

Of old the Prophets have foretold, The coming of our Lord,
The promise God in Eden gave, He surely would afford,
That He Who is all-powerful, Would stand in sinner’s stead,
And in His love for you and I, Would bruise the Serpent’s head.

Throughout the ages man has looked, For He Who was to come,
True faith in God’s assuring word, Has their salvation won;
‘Till suddenly Judea’s night, Shone as the break of day,
With Heaven’s Host in joyful song, The Advent to proclaim.

Twas to the poorest of the earth, God did these tidings send,
A Savior unto you is born, This night in Bethlehem,
With joyful haste, they go in faith, The Christ child to behold,
And spread abroad the wond’rous words, The Herald Angels told.

Let us to all this message bring, Who for redemption look,
That God His promise has fulfilled, Our sins from us He took,
The manger-Child has for them paid, With His own precious blood,
And opened to us Heaven’s gates, By His abounding love.
