१. मैं क्रूस का एक सिपाही हूँ,

और मेमने का एक अनुयायी,

क्या मैं उसके कारण डरूँगा,

या उसका नाम लेने से शर्माउँगा?

२. क्या मैं चाहूँगा मैं आकाश पर

फूलों की सेज पर उठाया जाऊं,

जबकि दूसरों ने इनाम पाने को,

रक्त के समुन्द्रो को पार किया हो?

३. सामना करने को क्या मेरे लिए शत्रु नही?

क्या मुझे बाड़ को नहीं रोकना?

क्या इस दुष्ट संसार में करुणा मिलेगी,

मुझे परमेश्वर के पास ले जाने को?

४. निश्च्य मुझे लड़ना है, अनंत राज्य के लिए:

मेरा धीरज बड़ाओ प्रभु.

मैं कड़ी मेहनत करूँगा, न घबराऊंगा,

तेरे वचन पर अटल रहूँगा.

५. तेरे संत इस आत्मिक युद्ध में

मर कर भी विजय पाते हैं;

दूर से ही वे विजय को देखकर,

विश्वास से उसे पास लाते हैं.

६. जब वह प्रसिध दिन आएगा,

और आपकी सारी सेना आसमान में

विजय की पूर्ण वर्दी में प्रकाशित होगी,

सारी महिमा आपको मिलेगी.

a follower of the Lamb, 
and shall I fear to own his cause, 
or blush to speak his name?

on flowery beds of ease, 
while others fought to win the prize, 
and sailed through bloody seas? 

3. Are there no foes for me to face?

to help me on to God?

and all thy armies shine 
in robes of victory through the skies, 
the glory shall be thine.
