In 2007, I wrote a song "In My Father's Hands", to give encouragement to
those who were grieving or going through personal trials. 

While reading through Edith L. Blumhofer's wonderful biography
of Fanny Crosby (Her Heart Can See), I came across
lyrics that Fanny wrote just after learning of the death of her husband. (1)
These lyrics matched the melody and chorus of my previous song,
as did the comforting message it conveys.  (Ralph Merrifield, March 2010)

 

I Am Satisfied


If He, my Lord, is with me still,
and I in Him abide,

Then I am satisfied

Thro' pastures green, or shadows deep,
with Him my constant guide,
If step by step He leads me on,
Then I am satisfied
