Our Lord Reigns!
A paraphrase on Psalm 96
Sing to the Lord a joyous song,
all here on earth to your Lord sing.
Salvation does to Him belong,
bless now His name, your praises bring.
Tell all the world from day to day,
His glory to the world declare.
His wondrous works are on display,
tell all the peoples ev’rywhere.
Our Lord is great, so bring Him praise,
no other Gods can match His grace.
Do not upon mere idols gaze,
‘t is our Lord Who made outer space.
Honour is His and majesty,
beauty and strength are His alone.
Gloryfy God now rev’rently,
offer to Him what is His own.
Tell all the world that our Lord reigns.
worship Him, tremble all the earth.
He made the world and He ordains,
‘t is only He grants second birth.
Heaven and earth be glad, rejoice;
sea, land, all creatures here below,
make to the Lord a joyful noise,
even the trees with joy will glow.
Our Lord will come to judge the world,
all then will know that He is Lord.
His Truth prevails and is unfurled,
faithfulness He will then reward.
