Hallelujah, Praise His Name
Have you heard the joyful news:
our Lord, He has risen?
From death’s sting He was cut loose,
He has left His prison.
We have seen Him, heard His voice,
tell all these good tidings:
He’s our Lord, oh do rejoice
and report our findings.
For our sins He did atone
and His life has given.
Through His blood, shed blood alone,
we are now forgiven.
All His children He will guide,
with His love and caring.
And we may with Him abide,
His love with all sharing.
Hallelujah, praise His name,
Christ, He has arisen.
Though He was for sinners slain,
He escaped death’s prison.
We may serve our risen King,
over all victorious.
To Him we our tribute bring,
in His body glorious.
